Job Description

Sourcing Specialist (Ingredient buyer)

ㆍ식품원료 소싱
ㆍ원료 Supplier 개발 및 관리 

 

ㆍFind competitive suppliers for ingredients that carry out functions and meet requirements stated in specification of each ingredient

ㆍWork closely with the Unicity R&D/Quality team to source raw materials/ingredients in a way that adhere/satisfy Unicity’s high quality standards.
ㆍResponsible for identifying, evaluating and developing qualified suppliers and ensuing negotiations.
ㆍCompile and manages audit metrics to facilitate management review.
ㆍDevelop and maintain UGM sourcing strategies by managing the new material sourcing process, gathering relevant cost options, logistic and technical information to supply the development, production, quality teams for decision making process.
ㆍWork with management to identify areas of improvement in storage and ordering practices.
ㆍComplete all necessary documentation required by internal/external customers pertaining to the sourcing of raw materials including but not limited to sustainability, specification and any other sourcing requirements.
ㆍLeads or participate in efforts to reduce spending.
ㆍWork with all departments to develop, document, and continuously improve internal processes
ㆍWork closely with internal customer and external customer for in time production plan and delivery plan.
ㆍNegotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors.   
 
Qualification

ㆍ경력 5년 이상
ㆍ건강기능식품 or 식품원료 소싱 경력자 (필수)
ㆍ영어커뮤니케이션 원활 

 

ㆍBachelor’s Degree or applicable work experience

ㆍMinimum of 5 years of sourcing/buying ingredients of health functional foods and general foods manufacturing industry.
ㆍGood connections and network with HFF/food ingredient suppliers
ㆍExperience in dealing with suppliers from both a direct and indirect perspective
ㆍGood understanding of MFDS food/HFF code to find ingredients to meet local requirement
ㆍProficient in MS Excel
ㆍExcellent negotiation skills
ㆍGood understanding and evaluating skills for product specifications and CoA for both raw materials and finished goods.
ㆍAble to multi-task and work independently
ㆍAble to learn and adapt quickly
ㆍGood understanding of flowcharts and process development & improvement
ㆍAble to work with, inspire and create consensus with a group to cooperatively achieve a common goal
ㆍDemonstrate strong leadership of RCI for significant unplanned event
ㆍComfortable with written and spoken English would be required
